The DFE-812TX+ comes with twelve 100BASE-TX ports. Up to five DFE-812TX+ hubs may be stacked together toincrease the number of ports to sixty. Users can connect two stacks together to increase the total port density to 120. Linking two stacks together is easy through a built-inuplink function that dispenses users of the need to prepare a special cross-wired cable. Another advantage is the ability to scale expansion. Users can start with as few as onehub with only twelve ports, then gradually add in units on a per-need basis without disturbing the existing network structure.
